ST PETERSBURG, Feb 2 (Reuters) - Andrei Arshavin’s proposed move to Arsenal has fallen through, the player’s Russian club Zenit St Petersburg said on Monday.
The 27-year-old Russia playmaker was in London on Monday hoping to sign a contract but the deal collapsed at the last moment when the clubs could not reach agreement before the 1700 GMT transfer window deadline.
«I can confirm that the deal is definitely off,» Zenit spokesman Alexei Petrov told Reuters.
